The Clay County Sheriff's Office and the Vermillion
Police Department share the Public Safety Center, their garage for patrol cars,
and their dispatch center. They work together on tasks such as drug
investigations and major case investigations. Events such as the bicycle
rodeo and the Public Safety Center open house are typically cooperative efforts.
We make every effort to eliminate duplication of effort and work together to
provide services to the citizens in the most cost effective and productive
manner possible.
