Patrol distributed Christmas dinner to needy families in Clay County.
The
Sheriff's Office frequently offers free fingerprinting for child identification. We
provided the parents with fingerprints from their child for their own records.
The
Vermillion Police Department, Clay County Sheriff's Office, South Dakota Highway
Patrol, University of South Dakota Department of Public Safety and the
Vermillion/Clay County Ambulance Department all volunteered their time to host
the Bicycle Rodeo. They inspect bicycles to make sure they are safe to
ride.
The Sheriff's Office received 4 refurbished bikes from a program called "Pedal Power from the Pen" where inmates refurbish bicycles for donation back into the community. A drawing was held at the Wakonda elementary school and Chief Deputy West presented the lucky winners with their new bikes.
